Google Meet Videoconferencing Now Free For Everyone

Google is offering its videoconferencing service, Google Meet, free for all to use.

Google Meet was previously offered to enterprise and education customers via G Suite. But Now, Google says anybody with a Google account will be able to create free meetings of up to 100 people that can last any amount of time.

However, there is a catch. People won’t be able to just click a link and join a meeting. They would have to be logged in to their google accounts .This would allow for meetings to be better controlled by their hosts, thus preventing unwanted intrusion into meetings.

Notwithstanding, after September 30, Google aims to limit meetings to 60 minutes for the free product.

In a blog post by Javier Soltero, Google highlighted key features of Google Meet Video Meetings. These are:

Video meetings built on a secure foundation

Free Google Meet accounts for individuals

Google Meet for groups and teams

Google Meet for businesses and organizations

Google Meet in schools and higher-ed institutions

In Nigeria, You can take advantage of the Google Meet free offer by holding videoconferencing meetings.
