Army Recruitment Web Portal Now Online

The Nigerian Army wishes to bring to the notice of the general public that its web portal for recruitment is now online.

The army informs in a statement on Wednesday that the portal is for SSC47/2021 and DSSC26/2021.

According to the Nigerian Army, SSC stands for Short Service Commission. It is a type of commission open to both civilians and serving military personnel.

The Course provides the avenue for the enlistment of degree holders who desire to the join the officers rank of the Nigerian Army as Combatant.

Training period for SSC is usually 9 months of intensive military training and successful candidates are commissioned into the rank of Second Lieutenant.

Interested Nigerians can apply for SSC via – https://ims.army.mil.ng/military-secretary#courseSSC-47-2021

Comparable to SSC is the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC), which is also open to both civilians and serving military personnel.

However, DSSC training provides the avenue for the enlistment of degree holders who are professionals in specified fields.

The Training period for DSSC is usually 6 months of intensive military training and successful candidates are commissioned as Lieutenant.
