The Authority of Auchi Polytechnic in Auchi, Estako West local government, says the institution’s Rector, Dr Sunny Jimah, is alive, but not dead as being rumoured in social media.
A statement by the institution’s public relations officer, Mr Mustapha Oshiobugie, made available to Geeky Nigeria on Thursday, in Benin, said there was no truth about the rumoured death of the rector.
According to the statement: “Management of the Polytechnic states categorically that the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. M. S. Jimah is alive.
“The public is advised to simply disregard the news, It is the Almighty God that gives life and by His grace, the Rector is alive.”
Recall that ASUU had solicited the support of stakeholders in order to halt its Industrial Action.
