MTN Nigeria has announced the commencement of Y’ello Star live shows.
In a special address to the Nigerian Youth, MTN restated its belief and commitment towards grooming and harnessing their potential.
“We are excited to announce the MTN Y’ello Star live shows.
“One powerful way to create change is through capacity building. We want to be part of your journey. We want a front row seat to your dreams taking flight.”
According to MTN, the partners of Y’ello Star project share their beliefs, having shown commitment to supporting the initiative.
“Our partners on this project share our beliefs and have expressed their commitment to supporting this initiative that is of immense value to our Nation.”
“We look forward to discovering talent ready to make a mark on the world. Join us as we ‘Turn it up’ with MTN Y’ello Star.”
The music competition will start airing from Saturday, 7 November 2020.

AIT: Saturday, 7pm – 8pm; Sunday, 5:30pm – 6:30pm.
NTA: Saturday, 5pm – 6pm; Sunday, 5pm – 6pm.
TVC: Saturday, 7pm – 8pm; Sunday, 5pm – 6pm.
MTN also announced the Judges for the show: Malik Yusef, Omawunmi, and Banky W.
Malik Yusef is a 6 times Grammy Award Winner, Song Writer, Rapper, Spoken Word Poet, and Producer.
Omawunmi is a multiple award-winning recording act and a highly rated Nigerian vocalist.
Banky W (Olubankole Wellington) is a versatile Entertainment and Media Mogul, Prolific Singer, Song writer, Actor, Film Maker, Businessman and Philanthropist.
MTN had introduced the Y’ello Star reality show around February but the commencement was delayed to the global COVID-19 pandemic that ensued.
