Surgery is a beautiful process of treatment which originated centuries ago, even before discovery of drugs.

God was firstly a surgeon before he became a physician. Although the history of surgery is rough, especially when there was no anesthetic application (to relieve pain), it has wrought wonders.

Depending on the procedure, patient’s positioning varies. During surgery (usually carried out by a senior surgeon), there is a careful manoeuvre around tissues and organ.
Instruments are accounted for by assisting nurse, including drapes, cotton, threads, and needles (sutures). An Anesthetic team monitors vital signs while assisting Doctor to ensure clear field of operation and supports in retractions.
Fears Concerning Surgery
As beautiful as the art is, it is strongly advised against by surgeons because it is stressful situation for the body. Resolution for surgery is usually always because of intense necessity or lack of alternative solution(s).
Also, some procedures carry varying percentage success and survival rates. Probably because of the disease condition(s) or site of operation.
Others are as a result of bad surgical practices, negligence or degree of professionalism and art.
