History of Alcohol
Fermented foods were in existence since the Egyptian civilization, and in China around 7000 B.C. In India between 3000 and 2000 B.C.
Babylonians worshiped a wine goddess as early as 2700 B.C.
Alcohol (called “spirits”) in the 16th Century was used largely for medicinal purposes. At the beginning of the 18th century, the British parliament passed a law encouraging the use of grain for distilling spirits.
Cheap spirits flooded the market and reached a peak in the mid-eighteenth century, as a result, gin consumption reached 18 million gallons and alcoholism became widespread.
Facts about Alcohol
Aside history, there exists numerous information about alcohol. Some of which are constantly preached online and by health professionals.
The benefit of alcohol is that it enhances social activities/interactions to a degree. As good as that sounds, it is outweighed by the delitescent effects.
Alcoholism affects social responses, physical presentation, economical state, and political responsibilities.
