In celebration of the achievements and innovation of Nigerian Internet initiatives, the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) has commenced nominations for the 5th edition of .Ng Awards.
The award, according to Nira, is to showcase Nigerian businesses, individuals, charities, public and private sector organizations which help to make the Internet a more secure, open, accessible and rewarding experience for all.
The Nomination mechanism for the .ng Awards is open to individuals and corporate organizations that meet the award criteria. After the nomination is finalised, the Awards Committee will review and assess all entries/nominations for eligibility and qualification before a final short-list of nominees is released for public voting via the website.
According to Nira, to be eligible for nomination, the Company, organization or individual must have registered a .ng domain name and be doing business with it.
In addition, The .Ng domain name must have been registered for at least twelve (12) months, and the website associated with the domain name must be active on the Internet throughout the period of nomination and voting.
The nominations for awards commenced on Sunday, 6th March 2022, and will close at midnight on Sunday 20th March 2022.
To nominate .Ng websites, individuals should visit the official Nira nomination page https://nira.org.ng/ngawards2022/nomination, enter their email address, then select the nomination categories, and other relevant details of the domain.
After all nominations have been received, the Nira Awards committee will review and assess them for eligibility and qualification before the final short-list nominees are released for public voting on the website.
