LEAP Africa is currently receiving applications for its 2022 edition of Youth Day of Service (YDoS). The campaign is held annual for a week and begins on August 12 on ‘International Youth Day.’
The campaign has been designed by Leap Africa to ignite the agency and creativity of young people across Africa towards sustainable development, and promote a culture of communal support and community development.
It calls for volunteerism within the youth population and inspires them to be active change agents in their communities continuously. The campaign theme for this year is ‘Youthful and Useful.’
According to Leap Africa, every young person who is passionate about creating social change and meeting a need can Volunteer to participate in an already existing project.
In addition, if a youth feels obliged to start a project in their community, they can become a project lead, and coordinate a change project in the selected local community with the aim of making a difference in the lives of others and fulfilling the SDGs.
