The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) has commenced the 2022 edition of its Social Media contest in the lead-up to the Resilience Hub at COP27.
Through the Resilience Knowledge Coalition, GRP is enabling Students and young professionals to submit visual and audio entries that depict what they and their communities are doing to tackle the impacts of climate change.
Participants can now join and submit entries to stand a chance to win $1000 USD, be showcased at key GRP events, and have their work displayed on GRP’s social media channels.
Geeky Nigeria reports The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) advances resilience through identifying and scaling on the ground innovation, generating and sharing knowledge, and shaping policy. Resilience underpins sustainable development in an increasingly unpredictable world.
According to GRP, Social media presents an exciting opportunity for young people to exchange innovative and transformative solutions to the harsh impacts of climate change. We aim to celebrate the brilliant minds of the future who are passionate about climate action in their communities. All students and young professionals are invited to submit visual and audio content depicting what resilient steps they are taking to adapt in a world of uncertainty.
If you wish to participate in the contest, you are to submit either of the following: 30-60 second visual or audio entry of any format (120 mbs): short films, interviews, documentaries, poems, songs, OR A series of photos telling your story.
The Theme of the contest is “What are you and your community doing to build resilience to the impacts of climate change?”
Your submissions should also answer the following questions: Are there any innovative solutions in your community? and How are you accelerating climate action in your community?
Note that the deadline for submissions is October 16, 2022
