“Yes!”, said Mr White as he strolled out of the office space.
Taju the Office clown came out onto the centre stage, mimicking the HR “We are on it, sir”. ”
“For your mind now, over efficient”. Mr Nelson stamped his feet and walked out of the conference room.
Everyone left the space with little and loud whispering. Different facial expressions and worries about recording and analyzing before the close of the day.
In the heat of this whole pandemonium Ifeanyi, the office foodie ordered food from an online store.
He stood up from his chair and strolled around the space. Hitting his tummy with disdain, “Oh! No. I need to eat something”, he said in a loud voice. “I can’t even imagine putting on my thinking cap with this un-fed belly of mine”. He hovered around to the marketing department chit- chatting with the ladies there.
A few minutes later, Mr Nelson, decided to conduct a work- check on the environment, only for him to find Ifeanyi chatting away and laughing hysterically in another department.
“Ifeanyi!” He shouted angrily; “do you realize that you have a deadline to meet, And you are here playing around?” Mr Nelson nodded his head sadly and went to the next department.
The next minute, an alarm came in from the front- desk. It was the dispatch rider who came for delivery. Ifeanyi immediately rushed to the front office. He received the food. “Thank you, finally I can eat and deliver on my work quickly!”
As he opened the food bowl, Susan screamed and froze on her sit for some seconds, all covered in goose pimples.
Everyone in this department rushed to the scene. What just happened? “Susan, are you well?”
“What’s this?” Ifeanyi spat out the food immediately.
Kemi sprinkled water on her face, and next she screams “I’m allergic to strong- edible smells”.
Mr Nelson passes by, this time with a device in his hands recording how everyone was disrupted instead of working at the moment. He nods and walks out of this space.
Now, it’s closing time. He submits a supposedly completed research work from his previous organization adjusting a little information here and there.
Immediately everyone goes out shouting to his office; “This is the Orange Hub! A creative space for thinkers and innovators. But this deadline wasn’t our full desire. Mr Nelson, do you listen to us? Are you aware of our strengths and needs as an organization? Bet you don’t!” said Akpan the accountant.
“This is pressure! To prove a point to the CEO! We are not done! What will be done now?”
“You all will be fired! Watch out and see! This is a multinational organization! Remember we have high standards to meet up with. Out of my office now and go home all, before I call security!” Mr Nelson clicks on the submit button which automatically logs everyone out.
“What a day!”, said, Peter.
“This is my only stream of income”, said Princess, sobbing.
“What is our fate now? Will the orange hub ever be bright and bubbly again?” said Shila as she closed the door.
The End!
