Apple has introduced the latest iMac, featuring the powerful M4 chip and Apple Intelligence, housed in its stunning, ultra-thin design. This innovative combination revolutionises the iMac experience, offering unparalleled performance and intelligence.
The M4 chip propels the iMac to new heights, delivering up to 1.7x faster daily productivity and up to 2.1x faster performance for demanding tasks like photo editing and gaming compared to the M1 chip. The Neural Engine in M4 makes iMac the world’s best all-in-one for AI, enabling smoother gameplay, faster photo and video editing, and accelerated productivity.
The new iMac also boasts an array of beautiful colours, a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display with a nano-texture glass option, and a 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View. Additional features include up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports and colour-matched accessories. It comes with 16GB of unified memory, expandable up to 32GB.
Apple Intelligence transforms how users work, communicate, and express themselves while prioritizing privacy. This personal intelligence system harnesses Apple silicon and the Neural Engine to unlock new capabilities. With macOS Sequoia 15.1, users can access Writing Tools, Siri, and features like Image Playground and Genmoji.
Apple Intelligence prioritises user privacy through on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute. ChatGPT integration ensures obscured IP addresses and no request storage. Users can access ChatGPT without creating an account, with OpenAI’s data-use policies applying for account holders.
“iMac is beloved by millions of users, from families at home to entrepreneurs hard at work. With the incredible features of Apple Intelligence and the powerful performance of Apple silicon, the new iMac changes the game once again.
“With M4 and Apple Intelligence, gorgeous new colours that pop in any space, an advanced 12MP Center Stage camera, and a new nano-texture glass display option, it’s a whole new era for iMac,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering.
