The Asido Foundation has commenced the 5th edition of Jemila Abubakar Memorial Essay (JAME) Competition.
This annual essay competition is organised in memory of Miss Jemila Abubakar, the pioneer program manager of the Asido Foundation, who passed away in July 2020.
The competition is open to undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, monotechnics, and schools of nursing .
The Theme for the Essay Competition is “Bridging the Gap: Innovative Solutions for Mental Health Support in African Tertiary Institutions”.
To participate, students must:
- Be an undergraduate student at any Nigerian tertiary institution
- Provide proof of current studentship
- Sign the Asido Foundation’s “Unashamed pledge”.
Essay Guidelines
When submitting your essay, please note the following requirements:
- Word count: 750-1000 words
- Format: Microsoft Word Doc
- Upload requirements:
- Scanned copy of a recent photograph
- Proof of studentship
- Certificate of Unashamed pledge.
