Stanbic IBTC’s Bloom Weekend 2025 came to a close, leaving a lasting legacy of inspiration, empowerment, and action.

The two-day event, themed “Bloom into More,” was a transformative experience that brought together thousands of women entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders. In her welcoming address, Jumoke Bello, Head of Enterprise Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank, highlighted the strength and resilience of women in Nigeria.

She emphasized their vital role in community and national development, aligning with the theme’s focus on empowerment and fearlessness in pursuing dreams. Bello encouraged attendees to take advantage of the weekend’s sessions, masterclasses, and networking opportunities to equip themselves with valuable skills and knowledge.

The SME Entrepreneurship Summit, presented by the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan Atlantic University, was a highlight of the event. The summit provided practical strategies for structuring and growing successful businesses, covering topics such as personal branding and investment strategies.

Attendees also benefited from tailored financial consultations, receiving personalized advice on savings, investments, and retirement planning.

The launch of the Blue Blossom microsite, an online platform designed to enable growth and collaboration for women, was a significant milestone. The event featured a range of empowering activities, including a yoga session, the Ladies at the Table Empowerment Series (LATTES), inspiring masterclasses, and a vibrant trade fair.

The LATTES panel discussion, featuring financial experts, entrepreneurs, and advocates, emphasized the importance of financial literacy and women’s economic empowerment.

Edidiong Akan, Head of Compliance at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, delivered a powerful message about the transformative impact of financial education on women’s lives and communities. The event concluded with an engaging marketplace exhibition showcasing women-led businesses, providing an opportunity for attendees to network and support female entrepreneurs.
