The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recently launched an IVR (Interactive voice response) self-assessment tool.
IVR is an automated telephony system which allows you to interact with a computer that is able to gather information and route your calls to the appropriate recipients.
An IVR system (IVRS) can accept a combination of voice telephone input and touch-tone keypad selection and provides the appropriate responses in the form of voice, callback, email and other contact methods.
According to NCDC, Nigerians looking for a complete COVID-19 assesment should dial 01-700-6232, if they suspect that they or a loved one may have been exposed to COVID-19.
The health institute notes that its WhatsApp and Telegram channels are active, and Nigerians can send “Hi” to the WhatsApp number – +234 708 711 0839 for important COVID-19 information or send “Update” for the latest numbers.
