Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) brings to the notice of customers in Imo, a scheduled power outage.
EEDC Head of Corporate Communications, Mr Emeka Ezeh, said that the outage would affect the Alaoji/Owerri 132KV Line 2 on July 18, from 8am to 4pm.
According to Ezeh, this was to enable officials of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), to carry out maintenance on Tower 68-70.
He said that the Alaoji/Owerri 132KV Line 1 will also be out of electricity supply during the said period as an additional apparatus for a safe working place during the maintenance exercise.
“The management of Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC (EEDC), wishes to inform her esteemed customers in Imo State of the planned outage on Alaoji/Owerri 132KV Line 2, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 18th July, 2020, from 8am to 4pm.
“The outage is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carry out maintenance work on Tower 68-70.
“Also, as an additional apparatus for a safe working space, the Alaoji/Owerri 132KV Line 1 will be out of electricity supply.
“This activity will affect all EEDC District Offices in Imo State, namely: Mbaise, New Owerri, Orlu and Owerri.
“As a result, the entire electricity customers in Imo State will be out of supply while the maintenance lasts,” he said.
He noted that EEDC regretted the inconveniences the exercise would cause its esteemed customers, while assuring that supply would be restored on completion of the exercise.
