The Jos Electricity Distribution PLC (JED) has promised to sustain cordial relationship with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for effective service delivery to its customers.
Mohammed Modibbo, the Managing Director of JED, made the promise when the new General Manager of TCN , Bauchi Region, Engr Ganiyu Aliyu visited on Thursday in Jos,
Modibbo said that JED had always maintained a cordial relationship with all the critical stakeholders in the energy sector.
“We will not waiver in our efforts towards the improvement and sustainability of the industry, ” said Modibbo.
He added that JED had received several recommendations from TCN, adding that other DisCos had been advised to emulate and adopt their relationship management with of the transmission company.
Earlier, Aliyu, the general manager of TCN commended JED for it’s harmonious relationship with his predecessor and urged the company to extend same to him. Aliyu said as an apostle of collective dialogue, urged management of JED approach him under any circumstances when in need of support.
Jos Electricity Distribution is one of the eleven Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOs) Privatized by the Federal Government of Nigeria. JED Plc took over operations on November 1st, 2013 with the mandate to be the first-choice provider of quality electricity.
The distribution company carries out the business of electricity distribution and retail sale in the regions of Plateau, Gombe, Bauchi and Benue States.
