New Era Foundation, on Wednesday, donated 10,000 spelling bee dictionaries to Lagos Ministry of Education.
The Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who attended the presentation event at Lagos House, Ikeja, revealed that the donation by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the organisation’s founder was a demonstration of her love for our children and the educational system.

Sanwo-Olu revealed that the senator had continued to serve the state with zeal and commitment and the spelling bee would promote access to learning.
“Yesterday, I received 10,000 English Language Spelling Bee dictionaries specially made for the educational advancement of students in Lagos by the New Era Foundation founded by Senator Oluremi Tinubu OON.
“Senator Tinubu OON has continued to serve our state with zeal and commitment. The Spelling Bee Competition which she introduced in Lagos in 2000 has promoted access to learning. The donation of 10,000 Spelling Bee focused dictionaries is simple but historic,” he said
New Era foundation was registered as a corporate body on 17th January, 2000 with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja. It was launched and presented to the public on 21st March, 2000.
The affairs of the Foundation are conducted by men and women of reputable character and social values, while the Board is presided over by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is the Founder and President.
