Obafemi Awolowo University Centre for Distance Learning (OAUCDL) needs relevant stakeholders to support its customised Learning Management System (LMS).
Mr Adeyemi Adedeji, The Spokesperson of OAUCDL, said the initiative would help in keeping logs of academic and non-academic activities for smooth learning processes, especially during the period of COVID-19.
According to Adedeji, more professional examinations had been carried out with the eZone centre successfully before the present COVID-19 challenge.
“It is expected that more of the university programmes in OAU will be moved online, especially in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The process of eZone is to be ready for any future challenge that may make gathering in physical classrooms impossible,” he said.
According to him, OAUCDL is making efforts through emerging network technologies to ensure responsive and quality distance learning opportunities that meet global standards.
He revealed that the centre had put in so much in making the initiative to provide support and back-up for the university ‘s face-to-face programmes even before the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Obafemi Awolowo University Center for Distance Learning (OAUCDL) was established in 2002 to facilitate the development and delivery of part-time academic and professional programmes by the open and distance learning mode.
Since its establishment, the Centre has been striving to keep abreast of the most up-to-date methods of Distance Learning practice by continually updating its modes of lecture delivery to reflect the latest proven concept, methods and practices.
