There is no justification for a man that cheats on his wife.
Due to the influence of our society and religion, our mindsets have been shaped towards enduring, even when we know nothing good comes out of it.
However, nagging all day will only add more salt to the already existed injury.
This is what I battled, trying everything humanly possible to keep my marriage, little did I know that nagging was chasing him away more and more.
Although I am Christian, I don’t Christianise every aspect of my life for I believe that prayer without faith and action is dead and buried.
Involving a third party is not an option for me because I don’t give room for gossip when it comes to my marital affairs. Remember, not everyone that gives you shoulder to lean on really care; that’s why you need to be careful in all your dealings.
I thought of what to do till one day when I was cooking, I remembered what my mother does anytime she wants us to behave responsibly. After dishing food, she would speak positively to the food. To me, she was wasting her time and it was fun not knowing that a time will come when it will be my turn to do same.
After dishing my husband’s food, I said a lot of positive words to the meal, I urged him to return home and take care of his family as a responsible husband ought to do, I went straight to our matrimonial room, I covered the bed and the pillow with the blood of Jesus, urging him to start enjoying the warmness of his home.
I was hoping it will work out, but I never believed in it, since I always find it funny anytime my mother says those words, it worked. I never believed but I had no option than to believe.
Nagging chases them far away from us.
Try and be the prayer bank of your family, remember, you are the mother hen and I don’t need to remind you of their job “they protect their chicks with aggressiveness”.
Always do your best and hand all your sorrows to God for he knows the end from the beginning.
Complaining to others and nagging all day changes nothing; rather put in action and believe that peace and harmony is the bedrock of a happy home.
