The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced that the present power outages on Olaogun and Abayomi Transformers in Ikate Zone Surulere are due to issues with the J & P fuses.
Areas affected, according to EKEDC are “Yaru, Olabisi, Sonde, Durojaiye, part of Olushola kenku, part of Adeosun and Abayomi Streets”.
The power outages on Rasak Gbadamosi and Feyintola Giwa transformers in Sanya Zone, Surere, are also due to a fault on the J & P fuses.
Areas affected by the power outages are “Rasak Gbadamosi, Idowu Odunuga, Feyintola Giwa, part of Solo Ogun, Kehinde, Shotonwa”.
EKEDC assures customers that their technical team is working to rectify the fault,
Geeky Nigeria reports that power outages have been consistently reported by EKEDC recently. The Disco had announced a power outage from 7th to 13th March, 2022, which according to EKEDC was to enable the implementation of qualitative maintenance, upgrade and rehabilitation on Nitel Injection Substation for efficient,stable and reliable supply.
The planned outage, which affected feeders major feeders also affected customers in Agege Motor Rd, Ladipo, Anipele, Iyala, Fatai Atere, Small scale, Obagun Road, FIRO, Ladipo Mkt, Oduduwa, Obagun, Palm Avenue, Buhari Rd, CAC str, Oshodi Express, Army Cantonment, Adedokun and environment.
