The Nigerian Law School (NLS) has enrolled 1,500 law graduates of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

This was revealed by NOUN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, at a press conference announcing the NOUN’s 11th convocation scheduled for March 26 in Abuja.

According to the VC, the relationship between NLS management and NOUN made the admission possible.

“The law school wasn’t sure what kind of graduates we’re producing and the idea is that they try us out first.

“They have found us extremely competent because the people we produce are of good quality.

“We have around 500,000 students on the nominal list but around 130,000 are active students,” he remarked.

Peters said that 48 of the university’s 107 study centers will be used to broadcast the convocation so that students graduating outside of Abuja can take part in it.

He noted that 22,250 students would graduate that day, of which 16,681 are undergraduates, while 5,569 are postgraduates.
