The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed July 21 as the date for its 2022 policy meeting for the 2022/2023 admission.
The was revealed by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, in a disclosure made available to a Geeky Nigeria correspondent.
The July 21 policy meeting will be hosted by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, with all heads of tertiary institutions in attendance.
The meeting, according to JAMB, will chart policy directions for the nation’s tertiary institutions, set admission guidelines and make a holistic review of application statistics, performance as well as evaluate admission exercise.
In addition, JAMB is expected to take a stand on acceptable minimum admissions standards to be applied in all admissions.
JAMB will as well endeavour to resolve other issues concerning transparency in admission as well as the recent allegation of extortion by CBT centres.
