Coal City University (CCU), a private university in Nigeria has begun to accept entries from secondary school students for its 2022 essay competition.

The essay competition is held annually to facilitate awareness of current global issues among the young population.

Hence, the essay aims to teach society from the perspectives of young people and to recognise that it is our collective responsibility to address these issues.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Climate Change”, and the deadline for the submission of entries is July 15, 2022.

The climate impacts on the health and well being of people, including their mental balance, psychological comfort and mood.

Climate change threatens the essential ingredients of health such as clean air, safe drinking water, nutritious food supply and safe shelter.
