Ikeja Electric (IE) has announced a planned customer system upgrade between July 15th and 17th, 2022. The upgrade, according to IE, is to improve customer’s experience on their billing & other integrated platforms.
The 48-hour customer information system (CIS) 2.0 system upgrade will be performed on IE billing & vending infrastructure.
IE makes it clear that during the upgrade, customers will be unable to fully perform the following underlisted functions on their platforms: Collection of meter data will be unavailable (meter reading, energy consumption, etc.), All payment channels will be unavailable, Access to customer account information (balance, address, vending information etc.) will be unavailable.
Although, Engineers at Ikeja Electric will endeavour to complete the upgrade within the scheduled time, as well as minimize the impact on customer experience..
IE explains that the upgrade will enhance easy customer access to account statements, improve customer experience with simple user interface, provide robust payment channel for ease of energy vending and settlement of bills amongst others.
Before the upgrade, Ikeja Electric advises customers to take advantage of the days available to buy units to avoid outage due to upgrade.
IE appeals for any inconveniences caused.
