Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has organised its Tree Planting Day Competition for year 2022 (Y2022); an art competition for school children to submit their artwork for consideration in the Y2022 Lagos State Tree Planting Day Art Competition.
The announcement was revealed in a statement signed by the General Manager of LASPARK, Mrs. Adetoun Popoola.
According to her, participants are expected to create any piece of art, whether it be drawing, painting, or collaging, that depicts their interpretation of the theme for the Y2022 Lagos State Tree Planting Day, which is “In Harmony with Nature.”
She also said that participants are also expected to record themselves telling Lagosians three ways that inhabitants can live in peace with nature, according to her.
“Deadline for submission is July 31, 2022, and participants are enjoined to adhere to the rules and theme of the competition. Parents and guardians are not allowed to assist them with the task”, she stated.
To apply, firstly, the entrant must be a Lagos resident between the ages of three and 16 years – entries can be submitted to laspark@lagosstate.gov.ng with name, age, parents’ phone number, LG/LCDA of residence and school name.
