The World Aquaculture Society, West African Region has paid a courtesy visit to former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR).
The visit is in preparation for the forthcoming 2nd regional conference on aquaculture (Nigeria 2022).
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in his speech appreciated the efforts of the aquaculture society team on bringing the prestigious event to Nigeria. According to the former president, it will be a veritable platform to synergize and share Nigeria aquaculture potential and the success story with the rest of the world.
Chief Obasanjo promised to support the conference as the chairman of the event and making sure the meeting gets the right attention within and outside the country.
The founder and CEO of Aquatic hub Afrique Network, Mr. Steve Okeleji, led the delegation that visited the former president.
Okeleji was accompanied by Lanre Badmus ( Regional director), Prof. F.I Adeosun ( Chapter secretary & LOC Chairman), Mrs. Funmilola Shelika ( Chairperson, conference Budget & Finance committee), Mr. Olalekan ( Head of Operations, Aquatic Hub Afrique Network) and Miss Oredein Ayokunle ( Member, Conference Budget & Finance committee).
