The management of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Plc. (PHED) has explained the reason for poor power supply in Nigeria.
According to PHED, there are many constraints on the grid, and as a result, load allocations to all Electricity Distribution Companies (Discos) have been significantly reduced.
“Kindly be informed that due to the present constraints on the grid, load allocations to all Discos have been reduced and this is impacting our capacity to supply power to our customers.
“However, we are engaging with TCN and NCC to manage the situation and as soon as the situation improves, stable power supply will be restored.
“All inconveniences are regretted,” PHED Announced.
In response to the announcement, several PHED customers voiced their discontent with the poor power supply experienced in the past few days. Customers from Federal housing estate Rumueme Agip, NTA Road Mgbouba, and Oroigwe-Elimgbu axis are particularly affected.
