The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has announced the 2025 National Young Consumer Contest (NYCC), an essay competition open to secondary schools nationwide.
This year’s contest focuses on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Nigerian consumers, with the thought-provoking topic: “Is AI Helping or Hurting Nigerian Consumers?” ¹
To participate, students must submit their essays via Microsoft Forms using the designated online portal.
The essays should not exceed 350 words, and only one entry per secondary school is permitted. A panel of judges will evaluate the essays based on clarity, originality, and relevance to the topic.
Winners will receive various prizes, making this a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their critical thinking skills and creativity.
Note that the closing date for essay submissions is 10th December, 2024 (11:59 PM) and late submissions will not be accepted.
To submit your entries, visit the official application page for NYCC 2025.
