Makemation, a groundbreaking feature film from Africa, is set to make history with its global release in Lagos, Nigeria this Easter.
As the first film from the continent to focus on artificial intelligence, it has already garnered significant attention worldwide. The film has been screened at several high-profile events, including the 2024 Global AI Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the Kenya Innovation Week 2024.
On April 18th, 2025, Makemation will have its nationwide cinema release in Nigeria, followed by an international rollout in May 2025 across other African countries, the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
The film boasts an exciting mix of Nollywood stars, tech industry experts, public officials, and emerging social media talents. It is a four-quadrant family drama that uniquely blends pop culture, research, and AI into a captivating masterpiece.
