OPay has announced the University of Calabar (UNICAL) as the eighth beneficiary of its flagship N1.2 billion, 10-year national scholarship scheme.
This development follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held on campus, attended by senior representatives of OPay, university management, and student leaders.
The scholarship programme aims to ease the financial burden on promising Nigerian students and empower the next generation of leaders through sustained educational support. Prof. Florence Obi, Vice-Chancellor of UNICAL, expressed gratitude to OPay for this thoughtful intervention, stating that the scholarship programme would help many students excel academically.
