The Nigeria Digital PR Summit has announced the commencement of nominations for the second edition of the Nigeria Digital PR Awards, a distinguished platform established to recognize excellence, innovation, and measurable impact in digital public relations across the country.
Honourees will be formally recognized at the Nigeria Digital PR Awards Gala, a premium evening dedicated to celebrating individuals, organizations, and campaigns that have made significant contributions to digital public relations over the past year. The event also coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Nigeria Digital PR Summit, underscoring its role as a leading forum for advancing communication practice in Nigeria.
The Gala will feature the Digital PR Fashion Runway, an innovative showcase merging fashion, technology, and communications to provide an exceptional experience for attendees.
This year’s Awards will comprise 19 categories across four broad classes: Campaign Excellence Awards, Sector Excellence Awards, Innovation and Technology Awards, and Individual & Professional Excellence Awards. A three-member Selection Panel has been constituted to review entries and determine the shortlist of nominees.
The Panel is chaired by Datari Ladejo, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fernhill Digital Consulting, and includes Oluwamuyemi Orimolade, former Senior Business Program Manager, MarComms, Africa Development Center (ADC – West), Microsoft, as well as Beatrice Okpara, Founder and Lead Partner of PuzzleCraft PR and Communications.
Nominations are open to agencies, corporate communication teams, non-governmental organizations, startups, and individual practitioners whose work has demonstrated creativity and delivered measurable results through the effective use of digital platforms.
The nomination period will run from 1 to 8 September 2025. Shortlisted nominees will be formally announced during the Awards Gala scheduled to hold on 16 October 2025, at the Conference Centre, Naval Dockyard, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. In his remarks, Segun McMedal, Founder of the Nigeria Digital PR Summit, expressed enthusiasm at the launch of the 2025 call for nominations and highlighted the calibre of the Selection Panel. “This panel reflects the breadth of expertise shaping digital communication in Nigeria, and its stewardship will ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process,” he stated.
The Campaign Excellence Awards include seven categories: Best Overall Digital PR Campaign, Best Brand Advocacy Campaign, Best Crisis Communication in Private Organisations, Best Crisis Communication in Government, Best Public Affairs Campaign, Youth Impact Award for Social Change, Outstanding Influencer Collaboration, and Best Use of Content Marketing.
The Sector Excellence Awards will recognize achievements in Public Service Digital Campaigns, Telecom Services, Financial Services, and Sustainability and ESG Communication.
The Innovation and Technology Awards will include categories such as Innovative Use of Technology in PR, Best Digital Engagement with Citizens, Outstanding Digital Customer Experience, and Creative Use of Short-Form Video in PR.
The Individual and Professional Excellence Awards will honour Emerging Digital PR Professional of the Year and Digital PR Professional of the Year, highlighting exceptional contributions to the advancement of the profession.
