NiRA says the annual awards are designed to recognise the achievements, resilience, and ingenuity of Nigeria’s internet ecosystem—championing businesses, creators, charities, and public and private sector organisations that make the internet more secure, open, accessible, and rewarding for everyone. The association underscores its belief in the transformative power of the internet and its commitment to ensuring the .ng namespace positively impacts everyday users.

Who Can Be Nominated
The .ng Awards are open to any organisation or individual contributing to Nigeria’s digital growth with a .ng domain name. For 2025, NiRA will confer honours across two streams:

Eligibility & Judging Criteria
To qualify for the 2025 awards, nominees must meet the following core requirements:

Active .ng domain: The company, organisation, or individual must be registered and doing business on a .ng domain.

12+ months domain age: The .ng domain must have been registered for over 12 months.

Live website: The website associated with the .ng domain must be active on the internet.
NiRA’s review committee will also consider the overall quality and impact of nominees’ web presence, including:

Up-to-date website: Currency and freshness of content.

Local content: Depth and quality of locally produced material.

User experience: Ease of navigation and overall usability.

All entries will be screened for eligibility before finalists are released for public voting on the awards website.
