Update: NECO has released a new timetable, as the former one was halted due to security challenges.
The National Examination Council (NECO) recently released the 2020 senior school examination (SSCE) timetable.
The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajuiba, revealed that the examination was to commence on Monday, 5th of October, and end on Saturday, 18th of November, 2020.
“Other details of the schedule indicate that the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, for SS3, conducted by NECO will start on October 5 and end on November 18, 2020,” he said.
However, following the EndSARS protests which stalled the Examinations, and posed security challenges, NECO rescheduled the examination to begin on Monday, 9th of November.

Although, there are complains that Economics paper is missing, NECO promises to issue a circular to that effect.

The Registrar of NECO, Prof. Godswill Obioma, who announced the release of the timetable at a press briefing explained that the council is considering the possibility of installing CCTV cameras in all its examination centres and custodian points.
He also revealed that NECO Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will hold between Monday, August 24 and September 4, while the National Common Entrance Examination for Junior Secondary School into the Federal Unity Colleges would hold on October 17.
