Essential UBA Banking Guide (USSD Codes & Online)

UBA (United Bank for Africa) is one of the leading commercial banks in Nigeria. The bank provides corporate, commercial, SME, consumer and personal (retail) banking services to more than 25 million customers.

UBA has diverse channels, which includes over 1,000 business offices and customer touch points (ATM and POS), online banking and mobile banking.

If you are an existing UBA customer or desire to be a customer, then you need to understand the UBA USSD codes and their online services in order to limit frequent visitations to their branches.

UBA USSD Codes

Open a UBA Account

Dial *919*20#, Select 1 (Yes) if you a BVN or 2 (No) if otherwise, then follow steps.

Check UBA Account Balance

Transfer money to UBA account

UBA Online Services

Alternatively, you can opt for UBA online services if you have an internet enabled device (Smartphone or Laptop). UBA has a provisioned Internet Banking platform for customers that enrolled for it when opening their accounts.

To login to UBA internet banking, customers would need their User ID and password. But, for customers that weren’t enrolled, there is an option for self-registration.

Note that on UBA Internet banking the daily limits for Individual are: N200k (with SMS OTP), N1m (with Secure Pass without indemnity) and N5m (with Secure Pass & executed indemnity). Howbeit, N2.5m per transaction is allowed for individual users with indemnity. SMS OTP is only available to individual users. Secure Pass is only for corporate users.

The daily limits for corporate users are: N10m (with Secure Pass without indemnity) and N100m (with Secure Pass & executed indemnity). N50m per transaction is allowed for Corporate users with indemnity.
