Diary Of A Soldier’s Child (Part 1)

It happened to her you know… Have you asked her about it? She just doesn’t want to tell you.

How one day, when her siblings were playing with their playmates outside – shouting foul at the other boy who cheated in the police and thief game, he was supposed to play dead, but he argued that the fake bullet had hit him on the shoulder and it wasn’t enough to kill him – “a notorious strong thief.”

He said this while beating his chest and making his face look like a well pounded fufu that has been touched by hungry oil fingers. They kept arguing about the situation until her father’s friend arrived and called her privately to ask if her dad was at home. 

“No Sir, he’s still at the office” she answered. But he, knowing what he had come for, walked towards her house, opened the door, went inside and beckoned on her to come inside too.

She didn’t see the oddness of what he did, It was her home after all, and this was a man they were all fond of, her father called him “best friend and brother,” he gave her and her siblings sweets and money each time he visited, he comforted her dad when her mother had a miscarriage, borrowed him money when his income was low, prayed with them as a family – her dad also returned the favor when necessary. 

While inside, he brought out a file and gave her to keep it for her dad, she collected it from him, hopped to her dad’s room, dropped it on his bedside table, locked the room door and was about to run out to join the police and thief game when he dragged her hand and scolded her for not always wearing her pant appropriately, “ah ah you sef! How many times must we correct you on the right way to wear your pant?, oya come here osiso! pull it and wear it very well.”

She obeyed, and he dropped his brief case on the seat close to where she was standing, bent down as if to help her wear the pant very well, turned her around so that her back side was facing him, placed her hands on the seat and put his “thing” in her anus. She was seven at the time.
