The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) informs customers of a planned power outage on March 27, due to maintenance work by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
According to the public notice, the maintenance exercise is being carried on 60MVA 132/33KV TRI Transformer at Kukwaba Transmission Station.
“This is to notify you that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will be carrying out a maintenance exercise on 60MVA 132/33KV TR1 Transformer at Kukwaba Transmission Station on Sunday 27th March, 2022 from 9am to 4pm.
“The Outage will interrupt power supply on 33KV feeders: L31. L32 &L33 servicing Galadimawa village, Amsco estate, Sunnyvale estate, Kabusa Garden estate, Bedwe village, Machido estate, Trademore estate, Apo estate, Aso estate, Sabo Lugbe, Pyaekasa village, Chika village, Lugbe across, Games village, National Stadium, Indoor Complex, Tulsi Chanrai eye clinic and environs.
“While regretting the inconvenience, please be assured that it is intended to ensure better service delivery,” the public notice read.
Geeky Nigeria reports that in February, AEDC had announced of a planned power outage in some areas of FCT, due to maintenance work by TCN on the 100MVA TR4 at the Apo Transmission substation.
The maintenance exercise carried out at the Apo Transmission substation was projected to improve the quality of power supply.
