EKEDC Announces Cause Of Power Outage In Ikate Zone

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced the cause of power outage on Babalola and Odutayo Abonyin 11kv Feeders, in Ikate Zone, Surulere.

According to EKEDC, the outage was caused by a fire incident which burnt 11Kv main line, and affected major transformers around Ikate.

In a power update, on their official twitter handle, EKEDC explained that fire incident led to the disconnection of several transformers, which caused the power outage.

“The present outage on Babalola and Odutayo Abonyin 11kv Feeders, in Ikate Zone, Surulere, is due to a fire incident which occurred on 11Kv main line.

“Transformers that are affected include: Abayomi, Abiodun Wright, Adegbola, Adenike, Ajose, Cole, Gasper, Oremeji, Zambia, Odubiyi ,Olaogun, Odutayo Agboyin, Aderibigbe, Afolabi Dada, Ajoke, Akpoguma, Cost-ufeli, Ijero, Ladele Dada, Memudu Aremu, Olaitan, Victoria and Onibuore.
