The Nigerian Army (NA) have invited applications from eligible Nigerians for commission into the Nigerian Army as Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) officers.
The DSSC portal is open to both civilians and serving military personnel, but only serving military personnel sponsored to civil institutions by any of the Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces shall be considered. Recruitment begins from March 25, 2022 through May 6, 2022.
In a statement on its official Twitter handle, the Nigerian Army made a public announcement, confirming the intake.
“This is to inform the general public that the online application for Direct Short Service Commission Course 26/2022 has commenced. Application starts 25 March & ends 6 May 2022.
“Visit recruitment.army.mil.ng. Application is Free, Beware of Internet Fraudsters,” the statement read.
For the conditions of service, the Military Secretary states that DSSC will be granted for a total of 15 years, for an initial period of 8 years, renewable yearly for another period of 7 years, while Direct Regular Commission may be granted on conversion after 3 years as a commissioned officer.
