Ecobank Group has opened applications for the 5th edition of Ecobank Fintech Challenge 2022 targeted at early-stage and mature startups building innovative solutions.
The Fintech Challenge, in partnership with international advisory firm, Konfidants, aims to enble the growth of innovators, with scalable ideas and opportunities which would help their growth.
According to Ecobank Group, the winner of the Ecobank Fintech Challenge 2022 will receive a cash prize of $50,000, as well as an opportunity to partner and scale their solutions across Ecobank’s 33 African markets.
In addition, finalists get to be inducted as an Ecobank Fintech Fellow and stand a chance to explore the following opportunities: Multinational product roll out, Competition Cash prizes, Service provider partnerships, Access to Ecobank’s Pan-African Banking Sandbox, Access to Partner Network, and Integration with existing Ecobank digital offerings.
The Challenge is open to all Fintech companies based in Africa. Interested participants can apply by sending details of their product as well as a demo. Ecobank is looking for African-focused fintechs whose product addresses at least one of the specific pain points: Customer Experience, Financial Inclusion, Credit Scoring, Ecosystem Aggregation, Internal tools, Payments, and any other relevant product categories.
