I thought there is a big Boss over there that approves the payroll list or signs the cheques for a transfer of my salary at every month? Oh, the big Boss cannot or may not be able to do that without a CUSTOMER.
As we celebrate customer service week 2022 (Monday, October 3, 2022 – Friday, October 7, 2022), Geeky Nigeria wants you to understand just who a customer is and how they affect your current Job.
So, who is a customer? A customer is the one who patronizes your products or services. Customers are the reason why you put much money and effort to advertise that product/services you offer
A customer is the one who gives you money in exchange of your product or services. They are the reason you wake up at night to plan the next marketing strategy
A customer makes you leave home so early and come back home late at night so tired and exhausted
A customer is the one to whom your product/services make sense to.
A customer is the one who trust you enough to take what you have to offer.
A customer is the one who makes sure you don’t go home empty handed each day.
A customer is one who ensures your daily profits.
A customer is the reason why you build beautiful and luxurious spaces and spend much for maintenance just to attract them
It is the little that each customer brings daily that amount to a big sum at the end of the month which is used to run the company and pay salaries/wages.
Therefore, without a customer, there’s no company.
Your customer is:
- To the Market Men/Women, your buyers
- To the Teachers, your student/pupils & parents.
- To the Health workers, your patient
- To the Legal practitioners/contractors, your clients
- To the Landlords, your tenants
- To the Bankers, your Account holders
- To the transporters, your passengers
Without a customer, an employee’s work is unseen (inflows) and when there is no work seen, (inflows) how can there be pay (outflows)? And that satisfies the adage which says “NO WORK, NO PAY”
Customers are the ones who show on our report that we are actually working therefore as we celebrate service in this Customer Service Week 2022, let’s also appreciate all our customers because without them, there will be no service to be celebrated.
