MRS Oil Nigeria PIc is awarding scholarships to the children of shareholders and employees who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
The 2022 scholarship scheme is part of the company’s commitment to upholding its values and fostering an environment that encourages academic achievement. It is also an opportunity, according to the company, to support education in Nigeria.

The scholarship scheme is for students of Senior Secondary Schools (SS1 – SS3), who attend government-owned or accredited private secondary schools in Nigeria and also undergraduates who have been offered admission into government-owned or accredited private Tertiary Nigerian institutions e.g. University, Polytechnic, or Monotechnic, for the duration of their course.
Eligibility Requirements For Secondary School Applicants
- The scholarship will be awarded to students who have completed the Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE), and have a minimum of five (5) distinctions i.e. A, which is equivalent to the excellent grading system in the relevant subjects (with at least credit in Mathematics and English Language) at one sitting.
- Applicants must have the JSCE results available during the application period.
- Applicant should not be more than 18 years old at the time of application.
- The applicant must be a Nigerian.
- Applicant must be a child of an individual shareholder of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc during the application period.
- The shareholder must have held his/her shareholding for a period of not less than 5 years during the application period.
- Applicants nominated by a corporate shareholder will not be eligible. A corporate shareholder is a company that has shareholding(s) in MRS Oil Nigeria Plc.
- Applicant must not be a beneficiary of another scholarship.
Undergraduate Applicants
- The scholarship will be awarded to students who have completed the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent in NECO and GCE. The applicant must have a minimum of five (5) distinctions i.e. A, which is equivalent to an excellent grading system in the five subjects relevant to the course of study in the higher institution of choice (with at least a credit in Mathematics and English Language) at one sitting.
- Applicant must have been offered admission into an approved tertiary institution (University/Polytechnic/Monotechnic) in Nigeria.
- Applicants should not be more than 25 years old during the application period.
- The applicant must be a Nigerian.
- Applicant must be a child of an individual shareholder of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc during the application period.
- The shareholder must have held his/her shareholding for a period of not less than 5 years during the application period.
- Applicants nominated by a corporate shareholder will not be eligible. A corporate shareholder is a company that has shareholding(s) in MRS Oil Nigeria Plc.
- Applicant must not be a beneficiary of another scholarship.
