The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2024 Internal Senior Schools Certificate Examination (SSCE).
The announcement was made by the Registrar and CEO of the Council, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, at the Council Headquarters in Minna, Niger State.
According to Professor Wushishi, 828,284, representing 60.55 percent scored five credits including English language and Mathematics.
Professor Wushishi noted that 21 supervisors were recommended for blacklisting due to poor supervision, aiding and abetting, extortion and negligence in 12 states.
He however explained that the total number of candidates involved in malpractices in the 2024 examination reduced to 8437 as against 12030 in 2023.
Concerning the overall performance, the Registrar said the candidates with five credits and above including English and Mathematics are 828 284 representing 60.55% while 1,147,597 representing 83.90% got five credits and above, irrespective of English and Mathematics.
