MTN Nigeria has announced the mPulse Spelling Bee Competition for primary and secondary school students aged 9-15.
This initiative aims to enhance English language proficiency and spelling abilities, offering participants opportunities to win fantastic prizes.
The mPulse Spelling Bee Competition is open to everyone between ages 9 to 15, this year’s competition promises to be even bigger and better, with participants vying for the coveted title of Spelling Bee Champion.
As the competition grows in popularity, it reinforces MTN’s dedication to nurturing young talents and promoting literacy among Nigerian youths.
Over the past four editions, it has become a hallmark event for primary and secondary students nationwide, allowing them to test their spelling knowledge while having fun. Participants also win prizes, with the first prize winner having the opportunity to be MTN CEO for a day.
Competition Stages
- Round 1 (Sept 9 – Oct 27): Answer 10 spelling questions on the mPulse website.
- Round 2 (Nov 4-10): Top 1000 students will be shortlisted from the first round.
- Grand Finale (Lagos): The top 20 students compete live on mPulse website and YouTube.
Eligibility
- Open to boys and girls in Primary and Secondary schools in Nigeria.
- Participants must be between 9 and 15 years old as of 26th August 2024.
- Participants must be residents of Nigeria.
Exciting Prizes
- 1st Prize: ₦5 million scholarship, laptop, smartphone, MTN CEO for a day, and ICT lab for winner’s school.
- 2nd Prize: ₦2.5 million scholarship, laptop, smartphone.
- 3rd Prize: ₦1.5 million scholarship, laptop, smartphone.
- Remaining finalists: Scholarship grants and mPulse goody bags.
