The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has appointed a new Bursar following its 186th Governing Council meeting held on Wednesday, October 24th, 2024.
This decision was confirmed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, in an official statement.
Mr. Abiodun Lawal, formerly a Deputy Bursar, has been approved as the new substantive Bursar. His five-year tenure will commence on November 1st, 2024. This appointment aligns with the provisions outlined in the University Miscellaneous Act.
According to Alfanla, the Governing Council considered the report of the Selection Board on the Appointment of Principal Officers before making this decision. This ensures a thorough and rigorous selection process.
With Mr. Lawal’s appointment, the University of Ilorin welcomes a seasoned professional to its leadership team, poised to contribute to the institution’s financial management and growth.
