The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) has officially launched its Registrar Accreditation Platform, a cutting-edge online system designed to streamline the process of becoming an accredited .ng domain registrar.
This new platform offers a significantly improved experience, allowing applicants to efficiently navigate the accreditation process, benefit from faster onboarding, and enjoy a transparent and seamless integration.
The platform is built for optimal performance, robust compliance, and future scalability, providing access to Nigeria’s dynamic and expanding digital ecosystem.
According to NiRA President, Mr. Adesola Akinsanya, 2024 has been a year of unprecedented growth and innovation for the Association. Key highlights include the registration of 94,723 new .ng domain names and 61,227 renewals, bringing the total number of .ng domains under management to 212,890.
NiRA’s achievements also include the accreditation of 23 new registrars, implementation of DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC) to enhance the integrity and trust of the .ng namespace, and the introduction of a Registrar Incentive Programme to reward top-performing registrars.
