Zoho’s Breakthrough Tool Extracts Valuable Insights From Unstructured Data

by Geeky Nigeria

Zoho has launched Zia Hubs, a groundbreaking solution within Zoho WorkDrive that seamlessly integrates unstructured business data into its extensive portfolio of applications and AI services.

This innovative platform empowers organizations to harness the full potential of their data, regardless of file format or structure, and leverage Zoho’s advanced capabilities, such as AI-driven analysis and unified search.

According to Andrew Bourne, Regional Head of Zoho South Africa, “80 percent of business data is unstructured,” with most of it being text-based and residing in email conversations, social media posts, documents, or audio and video transcripts. Zia Hubs addresses this challenge by providing a content intelligence platform that allows users to organize project-specific content into dedicated hubs within WorkDrive, with high user control over content AI access.

These hubs automatically organize uploaded content, preserving context by grouping related information such as section headings, supporting text, and visuals. For multimedia files, Zia generates transcripts and links key moments to relevant topics, making it easier to pinpoint specific information. When asked a question, Zia Hubs surfaces the most relevant answers across different content formats, providing clear citations that link back to the original content.

The potential applications of Zia Hubs are vast, including a legal team using a content hub to host case files and receive summaries with citations, or a support center analyzing call logs to identify trends. With Zia Hubs, organizations can also create custom workflows, automating document storage processes and ensuring that Zia always has access to the latest necessary documents.

Future updates to Zia Hubs will further enhance its capabilities, enabling it to identify structured information within unstructured files and trigger specialized agents tailored to specific business needs. This will solidify Zia Hubs’ position as the central content intelligence layer that activates AI-native workflows across the full Zoho ecosystem.
