Finding a new job in Nigeria can be hectic and frustrating. You never know whether you’ll find a job equal or lesser to the preceding one.

Also, these days, some jobs found online are rather scams intended to goad job seekers into providing personal data. Hence, knowing how to secure an authentic Job online and offline would go a long way in your career pursuit.

Job Nigeria
Let’s get you a job.

The difficulties in securing a new job are dependent upon different elements, which can be allayed by the observance of the following tips:

Utilise Your Own Network

Everybody knows someone. In your current network, there are most likely 3 tasks which would be suitable for you personally, but the men and women who may help open doors for these tasks simply have not thought of you.

Create a list of everybody you know. Specify a goal to get in touch with three individuals you haven’t spoken to for a year or two longer. Meet them for lunch or coffee.

Figure out the 25 most powerful individuals in your community and brainstorm ways to reinforce your relationships with every single one of them.

Engage the right platforms

There are many platforms available online and it can often be confusing for Job seekers in Nigeria. Most People prefer LinkedIn.

To stand out as a job seeker, create a profile on LinkedIn and add vital information such as Education, Experience, Certification, Publications, and so on. Also bear in mind that others may have this inclusion. The strength of your LinkedIn profile will then be based on your educational level (B.sc, M.sc P.hd), and relevant experience.

Attend events

Participate in events, including those hosted by charities and professional associations. Speak to an individual at each meeting. If you can find the listing of attendees ahead, identify a minimum of one individual that falls in your field and make arrangements to join in person.

Without intruding, look for ways to follow up by fulfilling again, or obtaining a referral to another person.

Relate With Others

People with whom you have close relationships can easily vouch for you when there is an available job. Finding a new job on your own is similar to selling yourself at the bottom of the decoration, only for the sake of obtaining a start.

If you are meeting some of your relatives or friends, speak with them about yourself, your abilities, so they remember you if they get to understand any of the deductions from the businesses. Also, maintain the relationships.

The aforementioned tips when followed in due time can significantly aid you in securing a job online and offline in Nigeria.
