Kaduna State University (KASU) announced 170 as the minimum cut-off mark for 2020 admission into the university for the 2020/2021 academic years.
KASU Registrar, Mr Samuel Manshop said that the registration for the university’s post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (post-UTME) screening would hold between Aug 17 and Sept 18.
Manshop noted that prospective candidates must have sat for the UTME examination, chose KASU as first choice, and must have scored an aggregate of 170 or higher in the relevant subjects.
According to Manshop, the cut-off mark for faculty of arts, agriculture, education, environmental sciences is 170, while faculties of Management, Sciences, and Social Sciences were 180.
He added that 200 was set as the cut of points for the faculties of Allied Health Sciences, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
“Therefore, Kaduna State University wishes to invite candidates who applied for admission into the university through UTME and Direct Entry (DE) to register for online screening exercise through the university’s post-UTME screening portal.
“Prospective candidates must have a minimum of five relevant passes at credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), conducted by recognised examination bodies in not more than two sittings.
“This must include a pass at credit level in English and Mathematics,” he said.
The registrar revealed that Direct Entry candidates shall obtain the minimum ‘A’ Level points in addition to the minimum five O’ level relevant credits, including English and Mathematics in relevant programmes applied.
He advised eligible candidates to upload their O’ Level results on KASU website before consideration for admission.
“Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N2,000 for the screening and aptitude test through the payment options provided on the University’s website.
“Applicant should visit https://forms.kasu.edu.ng from your computer, mobile device or KASU Android Application available on Google Play store to register.
“Click on the login button and type your Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) number as username and JAMB number excluding the first and the last character as password,” he explained.
