MTN mPulse Spelling Bee: Register & Participate

MTN Nigeria has invited all primary & secondary school students between the ages of 9 and 15 to participate in the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee competition.

According to MTN, the competition aims to help students in Nigeria to improve on their English spelling and vocabulary.

In addition, MTN Nigeria promises to give out lots of exciting prizes.

How It Works

There are 3 stages of the competition, which are conducted via mPulse website and video conferencing.

The first stage will be done on the mPulse website and is open to all students resident in Nigeria who are between 9 and 15 years.

In the second stage, the top 1,000 from the first round will be invited for the second round of the competition which will also be done on the mPulse website.

The third stage and grand finale will be done online via live video conferencing.

Date

2022 Edition

The 2022 Edition has opened for practice tests from August 8th to August 21st, 2022.

Round 1 with ten spelling questions, where top 1000 will be shortlisted commences from August 22nd to October 9th, 2022.

Shortlisted students from the Round 1 will advance to Round 2, which starts from October 17th to October 24th, 2022.

Only 20 students from Round 2 will advance to the Grand Finale on November 19th, 2022

2021 Edition

The 2021 Edition was underway from 13th September 2021.

The Spelling Bee portal opened for practice tests since 1st September 2021.

Round 1 Competition ran from 3pm on 13th September 2021 to 11:59pm on 3rd October 2021.

2020 Edition

The mPulse Spelling Bee portal opened for practice tests at 8am on 2nd October 2020.

Round 1 Competition ran from 8am on 19th October, 2020 to 11:59pm on 11th November, 2020.

Registration

Before, you can register and participate  in the mPulse Spelling Bee competition, you must have a student account on mPulse.

To register, visit the mPulse Spelling Bee website – https://mpulse.mtnonline.com/home/spellingbee , scroll to the bottom of the page, and tap the “Play” button.

You will be prompted to login to your student account. If you already have one, login and follow instructions.

If you don’t have a student account, tap  “Don’t have an account? Create one” below the prompt. Thereafter, follow the instructions.

Rules

Competition is open to only boys and girls in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria who are between 9 and 15 years old.

Participants must be resident in Nigeria.

Participant’s phone number used for registration must be on mPulse tariff plan. Dial *344*1# to migrate your phone number to the mPulse tariff plan.

Participants must have successfully updated their profile on the mPulse website.

Participants must have successfully linked with their parent(s) on the mPulse website.

Practice test can be done multiple times but each Quiz round can be taken ONLY ONCE.
