AfricaRice, in partnership with GIZ/MOVE and esteemed collaborators, has announced the inaugural Rice Master Training Program (RMTP).
This groundbreaking initiative takes place from January 27 to February 1, 2025, in Ghana, aiming to revolutionise the rice value chain across the ECOWAS region and beyond.
The RMTP is an intensive three-week training program designed to enhance technical and managerial skills in the rice sector. Spanning seven months, the program consists of three sessions, interspersed with practical assignments.
Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in key areas:
- Sustainable Rice Cultivation
- Post-Harvest Management
- Milling and Value Addition
- Gender-Inclusive Approaches
- Soft Skills Development
This training offers professionals in the rice sector a unique opportunity to acquire cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills. Ideal candidates include farmers, agricultural consultants, processors, and value chain managers from the public and private sectors.
Thanks to BMZ and BMGF funding, all training costs are covered, including accommodation, meals, and transportation.
